The release of The Thaumaturge, initially scheduled for March 4, will face a slight delay, despite the completion of its development phase.
Through a recent announcement on social media, the game's publisher, 11 Bit Studios, made a conscious decision to postpone the launch. The delay stems from the crowded lineup of game releases in February, which prompted the choice to push back the release date.
Despite the fact that development has wrapped up, the publisher is intent on providing the game with an optimal release window to ensure it receives the attention and appreciation they feel it merits. The message on X/Twitter ended with an invitation to players to join them in the 1905 Warsaw setting when the game debuts, coupled with an expression of gratitude for the community’s patience.
The Thaumaturge is the latest offering by Fool's Theory, a team of seasoned professionals with a portfolio that includes the open-world RPG Seven: The Days Long Gone, as well as their current involvement in the CD Projekt’s reimagining of the first Witcher game.
The game was officially introduced last year and is described as an isometric RPG that emphasizes narrative, character progression, and sleuthing elements, all set against the backdrop of an early 20th-century Poland infused with mystical elements.
