The Wrecking Crew, an upcoming action comedy from Amazon MGM Studios featuring Jason Momoa and Dave Bautista, has added several notable names to its ensemble cast.
Among the recent additions, Temuera Morrison and Jacob Batalon stand out. Morrison, famous for his role as Boba Fett in the Star Wars universe, has previously acted alongside Momoa in the DC Aquaman films. On the other hand, Batalon is recognized for his portrayal of Ned in Marvel's Spider-Man series featuring Tom Holland, and he has also starred in the quirky horror film Tarot.
Directed by Ángel Manuel Soto, known for Blue Beetle, The Wrecking Crew centers on two estranged half-brothers: a reckless police officer played by Momoa and a disciplined Navy SEAL portrayed by Bautista. Their tumultuous relationship resurfaces after two decades when they come together to investigate their father's murder in Hawai'i.
Morrison takes on the role of the governor of Hawaii, while Batalon plays a private investigator with a connection to the brothers' late father.
Other notable cast members announced recently include Frankie Adams from The Expanse and Next Goal Wins, Miyavi known for Unbroken and Kong: Skull Island, as well as Stephen Root recognized for his performances in Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Fargo, and King of the Hill. Thanks, THR.
