This upcoming convention marks another exciting chapter in San Diego Comic-Con Málaga’s history. The upcoming second edition is slated to occur from 1 to 4 October 2026, offering an expansive program that promises plenty of surprises and fresh faces.
At the outset of the event, the This rephrasing maintains the original context while offering a completely unique version of the sentence fragment organizers presented an updated roster of guests during the introductory session. This new lineup builds on earlier announcements, which already included notable figures such as Iñaki Godoy and Elijah Wood. Additionally, Fernando Piquer, who manages this edition, confirmed that a BBC correspondent known as Ali Plumb will lead several discussions throughout the schedule. The creative side of the convention has also received a boost with the debut of its official poster. Designed by Mingjue Helen Chen, a veteran artist whose impressive portfolio spans projects from Consider this revised phrasing: "Stretching from the imaginative realm of Big Hero 6 to the captivating saga of Raya and the Last Dragon." Dragon as well as Netflix’s latest adaptation of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the illustration draws on Málaga’s distinct architectural backdrop. Chen’s work features entirely new characters, envisioned specifically to capture the local essence.
Further enhancing the event’s appeal, it was confirmed that the renowned composer and sound artist, Akira Yamaoka, is scheduled to perform a live concert. During a Q&A session with industry insiders, Piquer also shed light on the newly developed Gaming Plaza, which is designed to showcase a range of video game offerings. Emphasizing a stronger focus on both European and Spanish game creators, he mentioned recent endorsements from figures like Dave Jones, highlighting that this gaming segment is expected to be the focal point for numerous forthcoming announcements as global talent and publisher-led panels continue to be organized over the next several weeks.
