WhatsApp Introduces Sticker Pack Sharing and Enhanced Forwarding Features for Beta Users

Recently, WhatsApp has initiated the testing of a new functionality that permits users to share sticker packs installed on their devices with others on both iOS and Android platforms. This feature was identified about a month ago, and now users who have the latest beta versions of WhatsApp can select a sticker pack to share with another contact, enabling the recipient to install the same pack on their device. Additionally, WhatsApp has allowed some beta testers to include a message when forwarding content through the app.

WhatsApp has introduced this sharing feature based on links. After updating to the version 2.24 of the beta release for WhatsApp on Android.25.2 or newer, and the WhatsApp beta for iOS version 24.24.10.72 through the respective beta programs, testers will find new options in the sticker section of the app. These updates were reported by WABetaInfo, a tracker for app features.

As users explore sticker packs installed on WhatsApp, they will discover a new three-dot icon. Clicking on this icon provides two choices: Send and Remove. When opting to share a sticker pack, WhatsApp generates a link for the selected sticker pack, allowing users to pick a contact before tapping the send button.

Currently, it seems that the sharing option for entire sticker packs is exclusively available for packs included within WhatsApp itself. The feature tracker has provided examples of this new sharing capability on both iOS and Android, including the built-in 'Cuppy' sticker pack.

Another development for beta testers using WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.24.25.3 is the ability to incorporate a message while forwarding content. A shared screenshot illustrates a new message box that appears after contacts are selected for media forwarding in the app.

There was no opportunity to test these specific features on the mentioned versions of WhatsApp beta for Android, nor on later testing releases, such as WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.24.25.12, which was made available to testers recently. This indicates that the features are being rolled out gradually.
