Euro Truck Simulator 2: To the Black Sea is a road adventure dedicated to brutal and colossal rides. It’s another entry to the series, in which you visit many countries: from the USA to Lithuania.

The game puts you in the role of a veteran trucker who delivers cargos from A to B. But don’t be deceived by how simple it sounds. In reality, there will be numerous hazards on the road. So, buckle up — there are frozen octopuses to be delivered.

What Is It About?

Highway Magic

The real cherry on top of the game is its visuals. Realistic enough, they let you feast on mountains and rivers. Ancient Roman ruins and megalopolis skyscrapers. And every city and tiny village feels alive in this game. So you both get a nice road vibe and a chance to perfect your driving tactics.   

ETS 2: The Black Sea is an expansion that takes you to Romania, Turkey, and Bulgaria. The amazing graphics will treat you with blazing seashores of Adriatic. Thick forests of Dracula’s homeland. And peaceful Slavic villages scattered near the majestic Danube. And of course Istanbul — the largest European city in all its glory.

It’s All About Cargo

Following the sim’s cannons, you’ll be tasked to deliver goods. The better you pull it off, the bigger your reward will be. And in the long run, you can build a whole empire. So, there’s a tinge of a business sim here too.

All cargo types require a different approach. Some are fragile, like computer hardware. Others are quite dangerous to jeopardize your mission. So, your truck must: a) meet technical requirements b) be piloted by an ace trucker. 

Never Hit the Brakes

There’s something magnetic about ETS 2. Perhaps, it’s the Zen vibe of the game, thanks to which you can relax and cleanse your mind. The authors turned one of the hardest jobs into an enthralling adventure, blending it with strategy and a kickass radio selection. And once you complete the first mission, you can’t resist taking another job.

Is It Good?

Hazards in ETS never spoil the game. They add thrill and spice to this meditative sim. Lonely highways are pure magic. Especially after the sunset, when there’s just you and some strangely cool local radio like Dvojka FM. 

But at the same, it requires good reflexes, firm hands, and an understanding of how to handle something as monstrous as Scania Streamline or Renault Magnum. It has sophisticated controls that will let you fully immerse into piloting a giant truck.
