Dragon's Dogma 2 Performance Review: PC Leads, but Console Versions Hold Their Ground

Which iteration of Dragon's Dogma 2 performs optimally?

Today marks the day we share our insights on Dragon's Dogma 2 with you. Naturally, each version harbors unique variations, which is particularly significant since Capcom introduced a singular graphics option.

The YouTube channel ElAnalistaDeBits excels in delineating these version disparities, indicating that the PC version reigns supreme despite some optimization hurdles (which Capcom is addressing). PC lovers will relish in the swiftest load times, supreme frame rates, and unparalleled draw distances.

When comparing PlayStation 5 to Xbox Series X, the performance gap narrows. Yet, on average, the Xbox iteration slightly outpaces its counterpart, boasting an extra 2-3 frames per second. Conversely, the PlayStation 5 benefits from marginally superior shadow effects and a tad of extended draw distances. Both models render in 2160p with unalterable ray-tracing capabilities.

Rendering at 1440p, the Xbox Series S version lacks ray tracing, exhibits diminished reflection quality, and operates at a marginally reduced frame rate of about 35 frames per second. Despite these drawbacks, this version maintains a commendably high visual standard.
